It is NOT Safe Out There
Random acts of violence are happening more and more.
Law makers and city officials are allowing criminals to get away with murder… literally.
Police are understaffed and will not be there when you need them.
In the video a woman is out doing errands in broad daylight on a busy city street in Long Beach, CA when a homeless man pulls out his …ah-hem… runs up to her, pulls her skirt up and assaults her with it.
This is a brazen act that would have never gone down in the near past.
But bad people know they can get away with all kinds of things because there are so few police around and odds are they won’t get in trouble anyway.
No One Will Rescue You
As stated before the police are understaffed and so is 911.
The average police response time in most major cities is over an hour!!!
The last time I called 911 – because I was witnessing a crime – it rang and rang and rang and finally went to a voicemail that said there were no agents available to answer the call.
I got a call back over 20 minutes later. The crime was over by then.
In this case this young woman was lucky that there was a good samaritan there who chased the would-be rapist away… but that is not the norm.
People are afraid to get involved.
For 1 they don’t know how to fight.
And 2 they are afraid of getting into legal trouble if the accidentally hurt the bad guy.
We have been seeing this in the news a lot as of late.
So what are normal good people supposed to do?
Being a Warrior IS the Solution
Join the warrior class.
When you train your body and mind in reality-based martial arts your whole perspective changes.
Sure there are still dangers around but you are now better at spotting them.
You are better at avoiding them.
And if God-forbid you can’t… you are better at dealing with them.
That level of competence with violence… being trained in realistic martial arts… gives you a confidence that can’t be described.
Most people are not warrior minded. They have no interest in being sheep dogs.
Until something like this happens to them.
The reality is that many people involved in martial arts and self-defense were victims of violence or bullying when they were young and that prompted them to change who they are.
To become someone too powerful to be hurt.
Someone willing to fight back and win.
Will that be you?
Are you ready to come train and become a new person, a warrior?
Until next time,
Brian
