There are 3 ways you can train with me:

1 - You can come to my Aurora, Colorado training studio for group classes, private or semi-private sessions
2 - I can travel to your location (house, park, corporate office, etc) for private or semi-private sessions
3 - You can host a workshop at your location or my location

Group Classes

In my group classes I have people from all walks of life with varying skill levels. This is a great format for someone who is a quick learner and likes a group environment. In group classes we learn to apply some practical Self-Defense techniques for common scenarios as well as explore the deeper system of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do.

There are 2 types of Group Classes that I teach, Beginner and Jeet Kune Do, read below to figure out which is right for you.

 

Beginner Level Self Defense (aka Self Preservation)

This class is geared to teach you the absolute minimum you need to know to preserve your life or the life of your loved ones. This is not your typical self-defense or martial arts class, this is THE most effective methods to stop an attacker by shutting down their nervous system so they can't continue to attack you. Good for women, responsible teenagers, men and experienced martial artists alike. This is the class for someone who does not want to spend 20 years learning martial arts to defend themselves but wants the minimum level of competence they need to defend themselves immediately.

Course Content:

  • Avoidance & Awareness - best way to never have to use self-defense
  • Reality of what it takes to stop an aggressive attacker
  • Psychology & Behavior - how you will react, how they will react, playing possum or posturing
  • To Run or Not to Run - when to stop, when to attack, when to run
  • Break & Escape Any Hold or Grab
  • Stop Someone Dead in their Tracks with this move regardless of size
  • Survive on the Ground and take them out for good
  • Convenient & Legal Self-Defense Weapons you must carry!
  • Defending against a knife or clubbed weapon attack
  • and more

Who Should Join This Class:

  • A total beginner to self-defense and martial arts
  • Someone who wants to learn the bare-bones minimum of self-defense and does not plan on being a martial artist
  • Someone who has been out of the martial arts game for a while but wants to join the regular Jeet Kune Do classes and needs a refresher to get back into the swing of things
  • Someone who plans to attend the regular Jeet Kune Do class but wants to see the most realistic stuff right off the bat

This is a 5-week long series of classes that meet on Mondays @ 6:30pm for one hour (check the schedule for updates)

Open Level Classes (Jeet Kune Do)

These classes take what you learned in the Beginner Level Self Preservation classes and builds you to the next level to being a more well rounded martial artist. Here we explore various scenarios you may encounter during an attack (on our feet, the ground, multiple attackers, weapons, gun disarms, ATM mugging, car jacking, home invasion, bar fight, etc.).

We deepen our skills set from the brutally effective Navy SEAL program (Rapid Assault Tactics) to include more in-depth arts such as Muay Thai, Brazilian Jujitsu, MMA, boxing, Dumog, Wing Chun, Krav Maga, Savate, Escrima/Kali, Sambo, Judo, submission and locking techniques, and much more. While the Beginner Self Preservation class is all about meeting lethal force with lethal force, this class teaches both lethal force and non-lethal force so you have multiple tools in your tool belt and you can choose the most appropriate one for the job.

  • Dynamic Joint Mobility - For supple and injury-free joints
  • Dynamic Vision Training - Quicker visual skills means quicker reflexes and proper decisions
  • Dynamic Vestibular Training - Stay on your feet with improved equilibrium
  • Rapid Assault Tactics - The Navy SEAL Team Six combat program
  • Behavioral Combat Training - How you will react in a real situation, how they will react and how to take advantage of this
  • Golden Goose - Endless supply of martial arts, we don't care about styles but we will take anything from any style as long as it is the best choice for the scenario
  • Jeet Kune Do Concepts - Develop you to your highest potential as a fighter
  • How To Cheat To Win - Literally all is fair in a real fight. Why play by rules?
  • Edged & Blunt Weapons Training - From Filipino stick and knife drills to realistic full-speed prison-style assaults with a knife
  • Gun Disarms - Gun disarms are a gift, if you are given the chance here is how to do it
  • Basic Firearms Use (non-live weapons) - Great you did a disarm and have the gun, but what if it doesn't shoot... do you know how to clear a jam? Do you know how to handle the gun so you don't randomly start shooting and hit innocent people?
  • Brazilian Jujitsu meets Kina Mutai - 2 powerhouses unite to make you a deadly ground fighter in 1/10th the time it takes most people
  • Judo & Wrestling Takedowns - If you have to take someone down might as well do what the best do
  • Boxing & Thai Boxing Drills - Develop your "oh crap" range reflexes
  • Defending the Sucker Punch - Not just defending it but seeing it before it happens. Your attacker will give you clues before they attack, you just need to learn how to observe these cues.
  • Defend Wild Punches - Aggressive wild punches can be very scary and hard to deal with. Learn how to cope and counter with an iron-clad tactic.
  • Trapping & Clenching Drills - Dominate in-close, overwhelm them with a constant assault that never lets up
  • Escrima Drills - Develop fluid movement with your edged or blunt weapons to hit from any position, at any time
  • Multiple Attacker Combat - Yes you can defeat multiple attackers but it takes these tactics to win
  • Power/Force Development Drills - How to build incredible rotational force with complete and total balance and agility
  • Bruce Lee's Footwork Drills - Have what seems like inhuman speed and be a master of distance
  • "Circle of Doom" - Our tongue-in-cheek name for a drill we do that puts you in the middle, you have no idea what will happen and you are randomly attacked with or without a weapon. Don't worry this is safe and we go at a speed that suits your current skill level.
  • Use of Force Discussion - As good guys we have the God-given and legal right to defend ourselves. But it is important to know when to stop and how the courts tend to look at things. Also, how to make sure you are viewed as the good guy by the Police and witnesses.
  • Sensitivity & Trapping Drills - Develop amazing tactile sensitivity so that you can easily avoid grappler's clenches, takedowns, traps, etc. Be able to fluidly transition from boxing range to clenching/trapping range while attacking relentlessly the entire time. Many of these drills come from modified versions of Wing Chun and Bruce Lee's and Jeet Kune Do.
  • Self-Defense Weapons - What to carry, how to carry, what to carry when weapons are illegal.
  • Mind Set - How legendary Samurai Musashi was never defeated in over 60 duels to the death including getting jumped by over a dozen Samurai thugs at one time... Staying cool, calm and collected are keys to success of elite athletes, fighters and military operatives. If you lose your cool your training goes out the window. But make them lose their cool and/or psych them out and you have a distinct advantage. Learn how.
  • Much much more - We are always changing, growing, adding and taking away. Refinement and growth are core values at our school.

  • People interested in becoming the best reality-based combative martial artists they can be
  • People turned off by tradition and seek truth in combat

  • Sheepdogs... Law Enforcement or private citizens with a mind for defending themselves and innocent people from wolves

  • People who are just as interested in helping their fellow class-mates develop as they are themselves... in other words check your ego at the door

I keep my class sizes small and cozy, very personable. 4 - 10 people is typical of a class.

Private Training

Group training isn't for everyone, private training is customized for the scenarios you need the most. Learn to defend yourself against your biggest fears.

You receive private customized instruction catered to your needs. Are you a traveling business person, a female who has to walk through a dark parking lot late at night, in Law Enforcement, Corrections Officer or Security and need to know how to use both lethal and non-lethal force to control suspects, etc.? Or more importantly how to subdue someone without causing injury? There are very few ways to realistically do this, I'll show you how.

With Private Training you get to work one-on-one with me as I walk you through the most effective strategies to stop another human being, whether that be through lethal force or non-lethal.

In Private Training we can also customize our system to work with your body type, background, athletic ability, etc.

Semi-Private Training

Ideal for small groups who work together; such as Security personnel, Fugitive Recovery Teams, Law Enforcement, Military, etc.

Also ideal for families and friends who want to learn together in a safe environment with people they know and trust... and frankly who may very well need to fight as a team one day to defend themselves. In 2010 there were several husbands and wives who were jumped and assaulted together in public places or home invasions!!! Be prepared

We can customize the training to fit your particular real-life scenario(s) that you may face. Do you need to know how to work as a team to use non-lethal force to subdue a suspect or drunk trouble maker? Or do you need to work as a team to take down crazed psychopaths as quickly as possible? Perhaps your family needs to know how to work together when an intruder breaks into your house.

We will cover the physical, mental and legal aspects of real-life combat.

Semi-Private is great for families who want to know how to defend against home invasion and how to identify weapons of opportunity around their house that can be used to ensure your family's safety!

 

Intense Personal Training Course

ITPTs are ideal for people who are traveling to train with me.

ITPTs are the most effective and focused method of instilling combative and self-defense skills. The course is tailored to your specific needs. This is for people who want to know the entire system as fast as possible. We will spend 6-10 hours (over the course of one to several days) training at my Aurora, CO studio. The training will be customized to your needs, background, and experience. I will pull no punches as I teach you the best stuff I have learned in my 20+ years of Martial Arts and Self-Defense.

  1. We will begin with the Navy SEAL Program (Rapid Assault Tactics aka "The RAT") where we learn to effectively deal with strikes thrown at you from a variety of angles, how to enter and neutralize your opponent in the quickest most lethal manner possible.

  2. Then we move onto the ground and I teach you a 1 hour flow pattern that encompasses 20 years of Brazilian Jujitsu and Kinimutai (the art of uninterrupted biting and eye gouges). This is invaluable in a life and death struggle for both men and especially women who need every tool in their arsenal against a larger stronger male attacker!

  3. Next we move to weapons, i will teach you the simplest and most effective way of using and defending against weapons. This is the Filipino art of Escrima broken down to it's most rudimentary and lethal form. Nothing beats this system!

  4. We will also cover gun disarms and how to deal with a gun wielding attacker. When disarms work, when they won't, how to know the difference and what to do instead!

  5. Next we will work into the Golden Goose. A system of unlimited techniques drawn from a dozen different Martial Art styles, taking only the best moves, that will provide you with a lifetime of growth and training in Martial Arts. Experienced Martial Artists will leave with a new appreciation for all of their existing skills.

  6. Finally we will wrap up with questions and answers and I will address any specific areas of concern you have. During the whole process we will also talk about how to spot and avoid trouble in the first place using the Color Code of Mental Awareness. We will also discuss legalities and how to make sure you are viewed as the "good guy" if you ever need to use these skills. Have a host of witnesses on your side when the Police arrive!

 

You will be allowed to video tape the entire session so you can review the learnings at your own leisure. Please ask me first.

Rates will vary based on the curriculum taught, the distance of travel required and number of persons attending. You may bring another person(s) and share the costs of the training.

If you are traveling from out of town to see me, which many of my clients do, I will provide you with a list of hotels that are literally 1 minute from the studio and close to great dining and not too far from ski country. Might as well make a vacation out of it if you are traveling in.
